Paint the Change and Off-Centre Productions offer creative industries workshops for year 6 and senior school students (11-18 years old). The workshops will give hands on experience of key creative industries:

    The workshops will connect students with industry professionals, provide technical skills, career pathways, and creative development opportunities that prepare them for success in the creative industries and other chosen careers.

Paint the Change and Off-Centre Productions are British organisations with a global impact. We have created over 150 murals around the world and have produced hundreds of hours of television programs for prominent global platforms such as the BBC, Channel 4, HBO and Amazon. 

Our team of award-winning filmmakers, artists, and educators brings professional expertise from projects that have reached millions of people. 

We have extensive experience delivering engaging workshops in diverse educational settings, having conducted hundreds of sessions across the UK and internationally. Most recently, we developed and implemented a specialised curriculum for the European Union focused on youth engagement through public art and filmmaking.

Our workshops are led by accomplished professionals with extensive experience in both creative industries and education. The leading members are:

Maziar Bahari, Director

Best-selling author, filmmaker and journalist, has produced documentaries and news reports in more than 30 countries. His New York Times bestselling autobiography was adapted into the Hollywood film "Rosewater" starring Gael Garcia Bernal.

Matt Dufour (ATMA), Artistic Director

Award-winning painter and graphic artist whose bold murals span 10 countries. Matt has created some of Paint the Change's most iconic public artworks in France and the UK and leads our visual arts programming. Matt is also a graphic designer and have worked in advertising for over a decade.

Mr. Gee, Mentor/Moderator

Distinguished poet and broadcaster with over two decades of experience working in radio and the UK's spoken word scene. Mr. Gee's work has been featured on BBC Radio 4 and in Tate Britain, as well as in The Times, The Guardian, and the New Statesman. He has delivered two TEDx talks and presented several BBC Radio 4 series. 

Risham Waseem, Project Coordinator

Media trainer, digital storyteller and communication and advocacy expert with over 8 years of experience working with young people. Risham is the recipient of both the Chevening South Asian Journalism fellowship in the UK and the Hurford Youth Fellowship in the USA.

Our team is supported by a distinguished Board consisting of multiple Booker Prize-winning publisher Juliet Mabey, OBE; international lawyer Steven Powles KC; cultural development expert Adrienne Van Heteren; and Shafiul Islam, lawyer and former Tower Hamlets community safety officer.
